Dan Johnson, Day Shift Supervisor, is in his 9th year of service with ACS. We thought we would congratulate him by featuring him in our newsletter and blog this month.
Describe your day-to-day duties: Each day is different but it’s conducting full patrol of the neighborhood and assisting with calls from A to Z: from attempted burglaries, people who are locked out of their homes, residents who have lost their cats, etc. We respond to each and every one of them.
What do you like most about your job? I like everything about the job, interacting with people, helping people, and working with my fellow officers, they are great, too. My only problem with the job is that the days are too short, and I’m not just saying that!
What has been your most memorable experience at ACS? This literally just happened this morning. I was flagged down by a civilian in the area and as I turned my car around, there was a suspicious person in the middle of the street, completely unclothed, cursing, throwing things at the cars as they drove by, and making threats. I assisted in getting him out of the street and remained with him until LAPD arrived, who took him away for medical attention.
